ABOUT ME

WHO IS KAYLA GRIFFIN?

Born and raised in a household always supplied with crayons and construction paper, I was never far from an opportunity to be creative. As a self-taught artist in early childhood, I progressed in my skillset by taking advantage of the classes offered in school. From the help of my art teachers, I graduated from high school with knowledge in Studio Art, 2D Art, 3D Art, Portfolio Art, and Art History. While my path took a business-oriented turn in college through studying Fashion and Textile Management, my passion for art never went astray.

Through becoming more immersed in studying business, I began to see how creativity extends far beyond what I had imagined. During my time at the Wilson College of Textiles, I developed an understanding of fabric technology, trend analysis, and production processes. What I had not realized before was how closely style and functionality are intertwined.

I take the mantra "design with a purpose" into every aspect of my life. Whether the intention behind creating something is to solve a problem or enhance a space, the act of thinking outside the box is something I challenge myself to explore. As I continue to grow professionally and personally, I strive to bring both artistic direction and strategic thinking into every project to drive meaningful results.
